Hey Olson brothers. I like the logo design of your titled name "Coda Brothers". It would be neat if you sell logo t-shirts. I don't know if it sounds possible. Just a thought. Your vlog looks as entertaining as humorous books and funny tv shows.

Oh dear, you both are so FUNNY.

My children are CODA. They do talk like me. My husband informs me that. He tells my children, not to talk like me. It is because I am deaf and that's how I talk. But when they talk to me, they sound like me. HA HA HA!!! I think it is so cute, especially my 5 years old boy. Sometime, I didn't the word right way and my children turn to my husband saying, that's how mommy talks. I am like, oh ok...HAHAHAHA!

Lordy, lordy...who would have thought the two lil red headed runts running around in the Thompson Hall Deaf club, campgrounds, graduation/wedding parties would become so famous! It's sure good to see you both again, even if it's just through VLogs.

My best and hello to your parents :)

Nice to know hearies see u half dysfunctional as deafies. Yet they are willing to pay comedians who talk that way.

Interesting. I didn't know hearing children imitate the speech of their deaf parents. It had never occurred to me. I wonder how often this happens among the CODA.

Great!! I am going to show your vlogs to my children who are KODAs as well. And then I will ask them to discuss what they thought.

Thanks for wonderful vlogs that help people to understand Deaf people;s lives better such as CODAs, Deaf Clubs etc...

Keep 'em coming!

OMG! That was hilarious!! Especially the FINISHED!!! I'm a Deaf mother and do that with my hearing kids alot. Yes our hearie kids do use our deaf voices. My son's Grade 2 teacher gave my son a low score on Oral presentations in class because he was not speaking clearly or pronouncation. She learned why when *I* showed up LOL. I'm a former Canadian (eh?) now living in Oklahoma married to a hearie from Kansas with a midwest slang. Soooo around the house you have a Deaf Canuck and a midwest drawl ontop of the Coda talk eeeeeeek!! LOL no wonder my kids are screwed up LOL
Keep up the GREAT stories!!!

How interesting! I will share this to my friends who are CODA. I am glad to know more about the "CODA's world". Thanks for sharing this with us. I don't think my cats imitate me at all. LOL

hey andy and ben!! thanks for giving me my 15 seconds of fame in your last vlog.....I'm so prouder of it!
So true of Coda voice....many use Coda/Deaf voice during CODA conference as a way to honor the voices of our childhood. It's like a hug to our senses. It is meant to be done in safe environment among other Codas only....not in public among those who don't get it. And if a hearing/Interpreter uses Deaf voice to be funny....IT ISN'T FUNNY! It's not the sounds of their childhood....they don't have the birthright that we do, to use Coda/Deaf voice.
Just wanted to put that out there.
Huggies on you for making us all laugh with your antics! ~Amy

best one ive seen today. Just got introduced to you guys yesterday, and now I gotta watch em all like pokemon... though if you have time, I vote you interpret the previous vlogs so I can better understand them. I'm trying to learn ASL, but of course I'm just a beginner, so I need some help over here!

Lindsay said...

just found your vlog and i'm a fan! I'm an ASL student in college and have been looking around the internet for vlogs i can understand (with english or not). I like your use of asl grammar with english and your colorful expressions. when you said "true that" in ASL it cracked me up!
